Compilation of the Heart - it's time to sing along, sometimes
~ The greatest test of courage on earth is
to bear defeat without losing heart. ~
to bear defeat without losing heart. ~
Robert Green Ingersoll
to not count the tears,
they are the price, not the value.
Prices are expected to be payed by someone, that is to pass on distortion.
to learn and not to learn,
every Gaussian distribution has outer areas.
If the experienced diminishes the expectations for the unexperienced, it will attract those.

When I told you it reminded me of this
It's poetry:
The Rangers had a homecoming in Harlem late last night
And the Magic Rat drove his sleek machine over the Jersey state line
Barefoot girl sitting on the hood of a Dodge
Drinking warm beer in the soft summer rain
The Rat pulls into town rolls up his pants
Together they take a stab at romance and disappear down Flamingo Lane
Well the Maximum Lawmen run down Flamingo chasing the Rat and the barefoot girl
And the kids out there live just like shadows always quiet, holding hands
From the churches to the jails tonight all is silence in the world
As we take our stand down in Jungleland
Well the midnight gang's assembled and picked a rendezvous for the night
They'll meet 'neath that giant Exxon sign that brings this fair city light
Man there's an opera out on the Turnpike
There's a ballet being fought out in the alley
Until the local cops, Cherry Tops, rips this holy night
The street's alive as secret debts are paid
Contacts made, they vanish unseen
Kids flash guitars just like switch-blades hustling for the record machine
The hungry and the hunted explode into rock 'n' roll bands
That face off against each other out in the street down in Jungleland
In the parking lot the visionaries dress in the latest rage
Inside the backstreet girls are dancing to the records that the DJ plays
Lonely-hearted lovers struggle in dark corners
Desperate as the night moves on
Just one look and a whisper, and they're gone
Beneath the city two Hearts Beat
Soul engines running through a night so tender in a bedroom locked
In whispers of soft refusal and then surrender in the tunnels uptown
The Rat's own dream guns him down as shots echo down them hallways in the night
No one watches when the ambulance pulls away
Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light
Outside the street's on fire in a real death waltz
Between what's flesh and what's fantasy and the poets down here
Don't write nothing at all, they just stand back and let it all be
And in the quick of the night they reach for their moment
And try to make an honest stand but they wind up wounded, not even dead
Tonight in Jungleland

Bookmark: what cold light brutally disfigures
Waking up with Elvis
Apparently, my subconsciousness listens to music in my brain while I'm asleep. It's rare, but sometimes I wake up with songs in my head I did't even know I knew them.
Can't help falling in Love - Elvis
Wise men say only fools rush in
but I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can't help falling in love with you
for I can't help falling in love with you
but I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can't help falling in love with you
for I can't help falling in love with you
And it's true, Can't help it. It happened. It happens. And that's just the way it is.

With every Bead in my Heart, my Brain loses a Marble.
oder: Pendeltrauma
We should not pretend to understand the world only by the intellect; we apprehend it just as much by feeling. Therefore, the judgment of the intellect is, at best, only the half of truth, and must, if it be honest, also come to an understanding of its inadequacy.
C.G. Jung
It is true, we love life; not because we are used to life, but because we are used to loving.
There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.
Friederich Wilhelm Nietzsche, Thus spake Zarathustra Part 1 (7)
And truly, if life had no sense, and I had to choose nonsense, this would be the most desirable nonsense for me also.

Space Night
Das Leben wohnt in jedem Sterne:
Er wandelt mit den andern gerne
Die selbsterwählte, reine Bahn,
Im innern Erdenball pulsieren
Die Kräfte, die zur Nacht uns führen
Und wieder zu dem Tag heran.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - Zahme Xenien VI
There dwells a life in every star:
With brother spheres it rolls afar
Its self-elected, radiant way.
Still throb within the great earth-ball

Precious Parenthesis in Eternity
And now the purple dusk of twilight time
Steals across the meadows of my heart
Steals across the meadows of my heart
High up in the sky the little stars climb
Always reminding me that were apart
You wander down the lane and far away
Leaving me a song that will not die
Love is now the stardust of yesterday
The music of the years gone by
Sometimes I wonder why I spend
The lonely nights
Dreaming of a song.
The melody haunts my reverie
And I am once again with you.
When our love was new, and each kiss an inspiration.
But that was long ago, and now my consolation
Is in the stardust of a song.
Beside the garden wall, when stars are bright
You are in my arms
The nightingale tells his fairy tale
Of paradise where roses grew.
Though I dream in vain, in my heart you will remain
My stardust melody
The memory of loves refrain.

Compilation of the Heart - Keep the Heart above Sea Level
Both can make you feel light,
both can make you drown.
Troppo amor ti uccide ma nessuno amore no
Too much love will kill you - every time.

Bipedalism is the answer.
Bipedalism, one leg stays on the ground (the supporting leg), the free leg moves. We all do it, every day, step by step.
In German the free leg literally translated is called the play-leg, Spielbein; the supporting leg is the stand-leg, Standbein.
Spielbein, Standbein, Spielbein, Standbein...
Gotta keep them moving. It's a balancing act.

Adagio sostenuto
I cannot find an end to hold onto within me that would let me know that pointless infinity isn't all there is
“There is an eternal landscape, a geography of the soul;
we search for its outlines all our lives.”

The Empire State of Mind
or: I'm sorry, no florist works here.
Form follows function: A very brief introduction to the basic principle under the consideration of aspects in general biology and practical appliances.
(And that was not even my biggest problem today.)
As a metaphor for love often the image of a flower is used, with the red rose on its flag ship. Love that nourishes growth, flourishes, may last when it is taken care of well. That would be the same kind of love that also thirsts, withers, fades, or can catch mildew. A love you can cut the head off and its beauty passes by the heartbeat.

What's the matter with Calamity anyway?
"I have always believed, and I still believe,
that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way
we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value.”
